Demonstration for 4-H Members
Extension Office Updates- 10/16/10

- Clubs must have a MINIMUM Of 5 members and 3 families to comply with the new National 4H Standard

- Clubs must have a MINIMUM of 6 meetings between now and July 2011

- Clubs must have at least TWO active advisors

- One advisor (or more) from each club must attend the MANDATORY advisor update. This is the only place to pick up registration packets. Advisors only have to attend one of the sessions. Sessions are scheduled on Nov 22 and Jan 10 from 6:30-9:30 PM at the Extension office.

- Prospective/New Advisor Orientation is MANDATORY for new advisors. Local events are Nov 17 6:30-9:30PM at Summit County Extension and Dec 2 6:30-9:30PM at Portage County Extension.

- Watch your emails for Western Reserve Advisor Development Opportunities.

- Secretary and Treasurer books will be collected for review at Officer Training Sessions.

- All officers MUST attend Officer's Training at least once in their 4H career. They are scheduled for Nov 15 6-8:30 PM and a date in January TBA.

-Project book fairs will be available at the Nov 11 Recognition Banquet, and Nov 8-12 and March 7-11 at the Extension office. PROJECT BOOKS MUST BE ORDERED BY MARCH 15- NO EXCEPTIONS!

- 4H fees are $10 per member (max. $50 per family, siblings only) if registering club members between Feb 1-28. Fees are $15 per member if registering between March 1-15.

- All new horse members must view "Every Ride, Every Time" and "Horses, Kids, and Ethics" and take Project 191 and signing the form at the back of the form. Clubs can buy these DVD's from Extension.
